Joining Sixth Form (16+)
Girls and boys aged 16 to 18 years
Please note our entry requirements for Sixth Form are at least 5 GCSEs at grades at 6 or above, with passes in Mathematics and English. Subjects to be studied at A Level should have been passed with at least a grade 6.

Apply for a place
To be considered for entry, please complete our registration form.
A non-refundable registration fee of £120 applies to all applications.
Scholarships and bursaries
We offer assistance with fees (in the form of bursaries) from age 11 for applicants for UK Day places only. We will only consider applications from parents/guardians who have already registered for entry and paid the registration fee.
Bursary application deadlines:
- Lower Sixth (Year 12) entry in September – 30 November of the previous year
Applications submitted after these deadlines will be considered only if sufficient funds exist.
Assessments
Candidates are interviewed in the January or February prior to entry and are made an offer of a place subject to meeting our GCSE entry requirements.
These are: at least 5 GCSEs at grades at 6 or above, with passes in Mathematics and English. Subjects to be studied at A Level should have been passed with at least a grade 6..

Offer and accepting your place
Offers for successful candidates are sent out by February half term. The deadline for accepting a place is normally the first working day in March prior to starting in the following September.
A deposit is payable when you accept the place.
International pupils that require a child visa: Kimbolton School is licensed by the UK Border Agency to enrol international students. We use a third party to support the School and families to navigate the visa process and will utilise applicant data to complete this process on our behalf.
The fee for this service is chargeable on the first term’s invoice.
A warm welcome
Following the acceptance of a place, you will receive a joining pack of information from our Head of Admissions.
This will include information on our uniform, bus service and optional music lessons, as well as forms to complete before the start of term.
