Ben Mills, the Housemaster of Ingrams House at Kimbolton School, is widely appreciated for the warm, approachable atmosphere he fosters among his pupils. He serves not merely in a supervisory role, but as a mentor and confidant, creating a real sense of belonging within the House. Whether welcoming pupils at the start of term, cheering on pupils during House events, or offering support in day-to-day school life, his friendly demeanour sets a positive tone. Through his steady presence and genuine care, Ben Mills ensures that Ingrams House is one where every pupils feels seen, supported, and encouraged to flourish.

Heather Garland teaches Biology at Kimbolton School and is also Head of PSHE and Assistant Housemistress. Her role places her at the forefront of pupils’ transition into Senior School, and she is a steady, supportive presence as they find their feet in First Form. Known for her calm, approachable manner, Heather combines subject expertise with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, helping young pupils navigate both academic and personal development in their early years at Kimbolton.

Ann Bantin is the Form Tutor for 1D and a member of the History department at Kimbolton School. She plays an important part in the day-to-day life of First Form pupils, providing pastoral support and helping them adjust to Senior School routines. In the classroom, her enthusiasm for History brings the subject to life, encouraging pupils to think critically about the past and its relevance today.

James Cardwell is the Form Tutor for 1P at Kimbolton School and brings energy and enthusiasm to his role. His lively, upbeat approach helps create a positive and welcoming atmosphere where pupils feel encouraged and engaged from day one. As a tutor, he’s both supportive and motivating, helping his tutees navigate the transition to Senior School with confidence and a sense of fun.

Sarah Smith is the Form Tutor for 1L, Second in the English Department, and leads the pupil editorial team behind The Kimboltonian magazine. She brings warmth and clarity to her role as a tutor, helping new pupils feel confident and cared for as they settle into Senior School life. In the classroom, her enthusiasm for English is infectious, and through her work on the magazine, she encourages older pupils to take pride in their writing, creativity, and collaboration.

Sophie Poole is Head of English at Kimbolton School and Form Tutor for 1K. She combines academic leadership with a strong pastoral presence, supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom. As Head of English, she brings enthusiasm, expertise, and a clear sense of direction to the department, encouraging a love of literature and confident self-expression.
