The Royal Navy CCF section at Kimbolton is small and friendly which takes pride in high standards and has a unique and valuable partnership with St Peter’s School.
Pupils start at 4th Form and can stay all the way up to the Upper Sixth Form gaining four years of cadet experience in the Royal Navy.
In the first two years, pupils experience the full progressive training syllabus which includes, among others:
- Personal development
- Drill
- Learn to sail
- Gain qualifications in powerboating
- Windsurfing and canoeing
- Seamanship
- Field gun competition, and more
Unique trips and opportunities
We also have several exciting off-site activities such as regular afternoons at Grafham Water, exercises and activities at numerous Royal Navy bases across the South Coast such as HMS Raleigh and HMS Excellent.
Cadets also participate in leadership courses run by the Royal Navy throughout the year.
Leadership skills development
Senior pupils take leadership further with planning and delivering training to the younger years.
In Sixth Form, pupils gain great skills in teaching, planning, organisation and delivering training supported by CCF staff.
