Kimbolton teachers are inspiring, imaginative, conscientious and focused on holistic student development. Through ongoing CPD, we empower academic staff to enhance their teaching and pastoral skills.

Through an extensive co-curricular activities our teaching team delivers our trademark all-round education.

We expect teachers to be fully involved in the extra-curricular life of our school, encouraging pupils in their wider development through music, sport, drama, art, CCF, clubs, societies and trips. Sometimes these are out-of-hours, at weekends or during school holidays.

Non-teaching staff are a valued part of our team and contribute significantly to our positive school culture. We offer a range of roles, spanning part-time, full-time and term-time only.

Current opportunities

HR Administrator (deadline 9.00am, 28/04/2025)

We are looking to appoint an efficient and extremely organised HR Administrator to join our HR Department on a full-time, all year around basis working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

You will work closely with both the HR Officer and HR Manager to administer HR procedures across both the Senior and Preparatory Schools.  This role is varied and we are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment.  The role has a particular focus on recruitment and data recording, so someone who is interested in recruitment, organised, has an eye for detail and a methodical way of working is essential.  Previous experience of working within an educational HR setting is preferred but not essential.

Geography Teacher (Maternity Cover) (deadline 9.00am, 22/04/2025)

With a start date of September 2025, we are seeking to appoint a keen and committed Geography Teacher to provide maternity cover who is able to teach across the key stages. The department is one of the most popular at Kimbolton and strives to encourage students to reach their full potential.  It has an excellent recruitment rate at both GCSE and A Level.  The results are excellent and each year many students proceed to higher education in the discipline. Standards and results are high, and the successful applicant will be joining an ambitious Department.  

The post could suit someone with experience, or an ambitious, current PGCE student. There is a competitive salary scale, and the successful applicant would be placed at the appropriate point on this scale, with reference to his/her experience and qualifications.

With a start date of September 2025, we are seeking to appoint a SENCo (Head of Academic Inclusion) who will provide whole-school leadership to oversee, develop and promote a whole-school approach to inclusive learning and teaching for pupils with additional learning needs.

We offer a competitive salary scale, and the successful applicant would be placed at the appropriate point on this scale, depending on their experience and qualifications.

Graduate Teacher (deadline 9.00am, 23/05/2025)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and versatile Graduate Teacher for September 2025. We will consider applications from all degree backgrounds, though we are especially looking to hear from those with Music, Drama, Modern Languages, Science, or Sport specialisms.

The post will run for a full year and will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to participate in all aspects of school life including a wide range of extra-curricular activities, full involvement in our boarding community, administration functions, sport, and academic teaching all whilst receiving mentorship, support, and training specific to progressing into a career in teaching or working with children.
