Health care
Our team
Our Health Centre Team provides care to pupils and staff at both the Prep and Senior Schools. Our Registered Nurses and School Counsellors have a range of experiences.
What we do
With flexible staff cover, we offer emotional and physical nursing care to everyone, working within our codes of conduct and confidentiality. For any pupil with a medical need, we work closely with the parents and the young person to understand their needs and any support required at school.
We look after day pupils who may be unwell during the school day, until they can be collected by family, and also provide first aid for any injuries. We can administer over the counter and prescribed medication with parental consent.
The Nursing Team work closely with Boarding Staff to ensure the well-being of Boarding pupils. This includes providing medical care and advice to pupils in the Health Centre in routine opening hours or visiting pupils in the boarding houses if the pupil is too unwell to visit the Health Centre.
Our facilities
At the Prep School, we have a Registered Nurse on site each school day. We have a purpose-built Medical Room near reception to provide injury and illness assessment, with a quiet area for resting.
At the Senior School Health Centre, we have spaces for confidential care and advice for pupils, staff and visitors with bedrooms for resting.
When your child is unwell or injured
We endeavour to make contact with parents as soon as possible when a pupil is unwell, by phone call or email, and then care for the child until they are collected.
We also work closely with Tutors to keep them updated about pupils during the school day.
Contact the Health Centre
Please contact us if you would like any further information on the services we provide, or if you have any concerns about your child entering school, or current pupil issues.
