Beyond the classroom in Senior School
Community & opportunity
Embrace adventures, learn new skills and explore your talents, interests and plans for the future.
Be curious
Expand cognitive skills in academic-themed clubs and activities, including Kimbookworms (ages 11 to 13), language clubs, Chess Club, The Enlightenment Society, our Feminist Society or Philosophy for Community Club.
Be adventurous
From playing sport to outdoor activities such as sailing, canoeing, climbing and windsurfing to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme – adventure and exploration are encouraged at every turn.
Be creative
Spend recreational time in our popular Art Department, or tread the boards in our Drama and Technical Theatre club. Hone writing skills, as part of the Kimboltonian Magazine team, or technical design skills in KiMedia our active film-making club. And, musicians will find a whole host of opportunities in our busy Music School.
Be connected
Fourth and Fifth Formers join either our Community Service Unit or Combined Cadet Force to gain valuable organisational, teamwork, communication and leadership skills, whilst making a positive difference to our local community.
Be inspired
Discover inspiration and like-minded students in clubs and societies which span diverse interests from debating and chess, through to fundraising, coding and business trading.

Trips
Adventure is a core aspect of the Kimbolton experience.
Many students enjoy our Combined Cadet Force camps, exercises, and individual courses, or work towards their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, exploring the North York Moors and Northumberland.
In addition, Sports tours to locations including Holland, Italy, South Africa and Australia are immensely popular.
