Environment Initiative

Kimbolton Environment Initiative (KEI) is an enrichment option focused on environmental science and sustainability.

Choose KEI and get involved in a unique blend of hands-on activities, including:

  • Gardening
  • Food production
  • Land management
  • Measuring biodiversity across our school campus
  • Educational trips to local farms and natural sites.

Currently open to students in the Third – Sixth Form.

Skills development

KEI participants delve into critical issues such as climate change, biodiversity and conservation, while developing practical skills and fostering teamwork.

Joining KEI also provides opportunities to earn the National Outdoor Learning Award (NOLA), recognising personal development in outdoor learning contexts.

We also engage in the Earth School Awards an annual, global $100,000 environmental sustainability competition for students between the ages of 13 and 19.

Through KEI experiences, students cultivate eco-leadership and a deeper connection to the natural world, empowering them to become active stewards of the environment.
