Curriculum components

Citizenship tutorials
These sessions help you grow empathy, cultural awareness, and social responsibility, encouraging you to see the bigger picture of your place in the world.
What to expect: You will reflect on weekly lectures, debate important social issues, and share your perspectives with peers. Session encourage the exploration of values, different viewpoints, and consider how global themes connect to your own life.
EPQ & academic engagement
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and related enrichment opportunities give you transferable skills in research, critical thinking, and time management — all highly prized by universities and employers.
What to expect: You’ll receive dedicated supervision, workshops on research and writing, and the chance to pursue independent projects or enrichment activities (such as MOOCs, science showcases, or creative initiatives).
This is your opportunity to explore passions in depth and showcase them on future applications.


Thinking Aloud
Based on the Theory of Knowledge framework, this programme builds your intellectual curiosity and gives you the confidence to question assumptions while making connections across subjects.
What to expect: You will take part in lively discussions on “big questions” about truth, knowledge, and belief.
Through debate, reflection, and critical exploration, you will develop your ability to think independently, challenge perspectives, and refine your own understanding of the world.
