Co-curricular & holiday sport
We consider our pupils’ involvement in activities to be a key part of their development into interesting, confident and rounded adults as well as providing balance in a busy and stimulating school day.
By joining in with others, including many outside their own class and year groupings, they acquire additional social skills and extra friendships. It also allows our staff to get to know and understand them better.
The activities on offer each term are detailed in the back of the calendar. Most run for an hour from 1630 to 1730 but there are also some at lunchtimes and at weekends. These include outdoor pursuits, sports, cerebral options (such as languages, creative writing and debating), music, drama and a wide range of other options.
For a few activities, pupils need to sign up beforehand; these are mainly the handful that involve an additional charge. For all other weekday activities, pupils just need to turn up at the allotted place and time.
For weekend activities pupils must ensure the staff member leading the activity is expecting them by emailing or speaking to them beforehand. We expect pupils to give anything that they try a ‘proper go’ by attending for at least half a term before they decide that it is not for them.
More information on Ingrams activities is available on the noticeboard outside the Ingrams Housemaster’s office in the Mews.

Sports Weeks
We start the annual summer holiday with two summer sports weeks for children aged 8 to 13.
These offer coaching and competitions in a variety of sports in age groups.
