Prep Drama
Co-curricular Drama
At Kimbolton we develop every child’s imagination and ability to express ideas and communicate in creative way through Drama.
Drama is taught as part of our curriculum from Years 3 to 6, but we also offer a range of performance opportunities, starting with our very youngest pupils.
LAMDA
Speech and Drama lessons are also available privately – these are taught in small groups or individually and lead to LAMDA exams.
Weekly drama club
Our Head of Drama from our Senior School runs a weekly club at our Senior School for our Prep students with a passion for all things dramatic.
Productions
Every year, the Lower Prep Nativity and Year 6 production showcase the talent we nurture at Kimbolton. We also have an impressive Whole School Gym and Dance Display, featuring pupils from six to 18!
Nativity plays and whole year group performances in Reception to Year 2 offer children a chance to perform in front of an encouraging audience of parents and friends. In the Nativity play all children have speaking roles and gain a huge sense of achievement from working together.
Year group performances in Spring or Summer Terms, invite family members to watch a presentation involving all the children in the year. In Year 6, children take centre stage in our Year 6 production, supported by the Junior and Senior Choirs. Recent performances have included Olivia, Alice in Wonderland, The Tempest and Treasure Island.
