Payment of fees
Payment options
You may pay fees in number of ways
Direct debit
We collect fees for all pupils by direct debit on the first day that the banks are open in September, January and May.
As an alternative to paying your termly bill in full at the start of each term, you may pay us via a monthly direct debit on the first of each month throughout the year by special arrangement only.
Details are available from our Fees Officer on request and you can complete this direct debit instruction form:
If you pay in full by direct debit on the designated direct debit date, we will apply a 2% reduction to our net standard fees.
Should our direct debit request be returned by your bank unpaid, we will make an additional charge of £50 to cover our administration charges. The balance of your account will be due immediately.
If you envisage problems in settling your account, please contact the Fees Officer or Deputy Bursar on 01480 860505. We prefer to hear early on about any difficulties rather than receiving surprise rejections of direct debits and will always deal with your case with complete confidentiality.
Childcare vouchers
If you are a UK taxpayer and your child is under 16, you may use childcare vouchers (that you arrange through your employer) to pay for Kim Club, boarding fees and (in some cases) sports clubs.
Paying fees in advance
Our Advance Fee Payment Scheme allows bill payers to fund school fees via lump sums rather than making termly or monthly payments. We believe that it represents a worthwhile saving for a parent, guardian or grandparent as, under present tax regulations, the discount allowed is free of tax.
You should note, however, that there are other ways of meeting the costs of a child’s education so you should seek the advice of your own financial adviser. You may make payments in advance of a child’s entry, at entry or even when at the School, to help cover your fees.
The Scheme provides for specific guaranteed amounts each term towards the total cost of a named child’s education. An illustration can be prepared for you based on a fixed lump sum to help towards fees. The Scheme is flexible and can be varied to suit individual circumstances.
The discount rate used in the illustrations is fixed for the period covered by the Scheme so that termly sums provided will not be affected by any changes in national interest rates. We cannot, of course, predict what the fees will be in future years and so an annual fee increase of 5% is automatically built into the calculations if applicable; this figure can be changed if you wish.
