Prep Art

In this section

From drawing and painting to sculpture, textiles and photography, Art has a high profile at Kimbolton, and we celebrate our pupils’ creativity at all ages.

In addition to Art in the curriculum, we offer a range of co-curricular clubs including Drawing and Painting Club, Origami Club and Film/Animation Club. We are fortunate to have our very own art room at our Prep School with lots of light and space so our pupils can freely express their creativity.

Creative opportunities

Both our Prep and Senior School offer light and airy studios and beautiful grounds, creating a stimulating environment for exploring diverse techniques and materials. Arts Week takes place every other year. In the past we have had residential artists based in school to work on pieces throughout the week.

Pupil art is displayed throughout the school, from the Prep Foyer to the Shop, Medical Centre and Library. Each year we curate a Prep School Annual Art and Design Display in Hunter Hall, showcasing the wonderful work of our pupils.

Each December, pupils take part in a Kimbolton’s Christmas Card Project, where they design their own Christmas cards to raise funds for a nominated charity.
