Celebration of Life for Ken Laflin

Thursday 9 July 2026

Ken’s funeral will take place at Bedford Crematorium at 10.45am, followed by a celebration of his life at St Andrews Chruch, Kimbolton, at 12.00 noon. All are warmly welcome to attend both services.

Those attending the service at St Andrews may park on the parade ground and around the Lewis Hall side of the West Lawn. Please no parking on the castle gravel as there will be schools’ visits and afternoon tours in progress at the same time.

Essay Competition: How does co-education create better learners?

Entries should be submitted to alumni@kimboltonschool.com by 30 September and must not exceed 500 words. The competition is open to all Old Kimboltonians, and entrants are encouraged to reflect on their own experiences and perspectives when addressing the question. The winning entries will be published in the next edition of the OK Magazine.

Light the Castle Purple for Pancreatic Cancer UK

19 November 2026

Oli Burbage-Hall (OK’94) has asked Kimbolton School to join him in the national Purple Lights campaign in support of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Oli has been leading a fundraising campaign in combination with a series of endurance runs every month in 2026, including events across all four UK nations and the Polar Bear Challenge in Greenland.
