Kimbolton School named finalist in SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards 2026

Kimbolton School, Cambridgeshire, is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Community Business of the Year category at the SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards 2026.

The prestigious awards, now in their eighth year, celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions from businesses and organisations across the region. Entries are judged by a national panel of up to four judges and the winners will be announced at a ceremony held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott, Huntingdon, on 2nd June 2026.

Kimbolton School has been recognised for its strong commitment to community engagement, particularly through its extensive outreach programmes. These initiatives include a wide range of academic Masterclasses, designed to inspire and support pupils beyond the school, as well as partnerships and activities that benefit the wider local community.

Will Chuter, Headteacher at Kimbolton School, said:

“It’s such an achievement to be recognised in these awards. We are incredibly proud of the work our staff and students do to support and engage with the wider community, and this recognition reflects that shared commitment. The Community Business of the Year category highlights organisations that demonstrate meaningful local impact, collaboration, and social value-qualities that are at the heart of Kimbolton School’s ethos. We look forward to finding out the result in June.”

Kimbolton’s annual Masterclasses are a part of the school’s education outreach programme, which is delivered by its first-class teaching team. Since their inception in 2005, the classes have seen a surge in popularity – gaining a reputation as an enriching, inspiring experience for children to extend their learning beyond the National Curriculum. Each year, the Masterclasses are attended by around 300 children.
