Gibbard’s House reverse 12 days of Christmas supports local food bank

This year, Gibbard’s House turned the traditional “12 Days of Christmas” on its head by giving instead of receiving. Each pupil chose a day to bring in food donations, all of which were collected for the Trussell Trust Food Bank in Godmanchester. Gibbard’s House has been supporting this local resource for six years, and the results continue to make a genuine difference.

In total, pupils gathered an impressive 210kg of food. This amount will form the major part of ten 3-day parcels for a family in need, or provide the equivalent of more than 150 two-course meals.

The Godmanchester Food Bank expressed gratitude for this ongoing kindness.

This heartwarming initiative was featured on Day 19 of Kimbolton’s Advent Calendar, shared across the school’s social media channels, shining a light on one of the meaningful ways in which our school community comes together during the festive season.
