Success at the Junior Maths Challenge

Recently, all Kimbolton Year 7 & 8 pupils sat the Junior Maths Challenge. This is a 60 minute multiple choice mathematics competition, designed to encourage logical thinking, problem-solving and mathematical reasoning.

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of several pupils who achieved a gold certificate and therefore qualify for one of Mr Jessup’s mechanical pencils. Achieving a Gold Certificate is an excellent accomplishment and reflects outstanding problem-solving skills, resilience and mathematical thinking.

The following pupils were very successful and earned gold:

  • Dvir Z
  • Max C
  • Tobechi M
  • William W
  • Alex B
  • Eli H

An extra congratulations goes to Max, Tobechi and William, who have also qualified for the next round of the competition in June. This is a fantastic achievement, and we wish them the very best as they prepare for the next stage.

Well done to all pupils involved for representing the school so brilliantly.
