This year’s Harvest collection at Kimbolton School has once again shown the power of teamwork and generosity across the Prep community. Pupils from both Upper and Lower Prep donated a wide range of essential food items, which together weighed 380.55 kg and will help provide 160 meals for families in need.
At the heart of the effort were the Year 6 Harvest Mice: Clara, Izzy, Celeste, Ariana and Orla. For two weeks, every morning before school, they have been working behind the scenes to collect donations from the main collection points and organise them ready for collection – all in their own time. Their commitment and teamwork were central to the success of this year’s initiative.
On collection day, Andrea Badman from Bedford Foodbank joined us to speak to the pupils and personally thank the school for its continued generosity. This marks Kimbolton’s 11th year of supporting the foodbank as part of our ongoing charitable work.
The school community extends its thanks to everyone who contributed and to the Year 6 Harvest Mice for their dedication. Their efforts will make a meaningful difference to families in need.
