The Hunter Hall was filled with proud smiles and excited energy on Thursday, 22 May as families, pupils and staff gathered to celebrate our Lower Prep Prize Giving 2025.
The afternoon began with a warm welcome and address from Mrs Claire Petrie, Head of the Preparatory School, who reflected on a year of growth, curiosity and joyful learning across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
Our talented pupils then took to the stage to showcase a vibrant selection of performances, beginning with a charming recital of The Morning Rush by Reception, followed by Year 1’s enthusiastic rendition of When I Grow Up, and Year 2’s rousing VE Day medley. The audience were also treated to musical numbers by the Year 2 Recorder Group and the Lower Prep Choir, whose lively version of I Like the Flowers ended the afternoon on a high note.
Prizes were awarded for academic achievement and endeavour, celebrating those who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, curiosity and kindness throughout the year. A special moment was reserved for the presentation of the Aragon House Cup, recognising a pupil whose positivity and character have shone across every aspect of school life.
Following the ceremony, families enjoyed refreshments on the Lower Prep Playground — a perfect opportunity to come together and mark the end of another wonderful year in our Kimbolton journey.
Congratulations to all our Lower Prep pupils — we are incredibly proud of every one of you.
