Pupils volunteer in the community at local primary school

During AGI Day, members of the Community Service Unit (CSU) took part in a range of volunteering activities within the local community. One group of Year 10 (Fourth Form) pupils visited Kimbolton Primary Academy to help improve and care for the school’s outdoor spaces.

The pupils spent the day painting wooden furniture, weeding, clearing garden areas, and generally helping to tidy the grounds. Their hard work made a real difference and was greatly appreciated by the staff at Kimbolton Primary Academy.

The group was supported throughout the day by Mrs Elliott and Mr Lawless, while Mrs Bargh from KPA kindly kept everyone supplied with biscuits and juice.

Meanwhile, a group of older pupils took on the important task of clearing and tidying the grave of Edwin Cuthbert Davies, who served as Games Master at Kimbolton School from 1913 to 1936.

With warm sunshine and dry weather throughout the day, it was an excellent opportunity for pupils to work outdoors, contribute to the community and take pride in supporting local spaces and heritage.
