Sunshine, sneakers and plenty of spirit were the order of the day on Friday, 28 March as Kimbolton Prep pupils took part in the much-anticipated annual Fun Run and House Cross Country events.
Our Lower Prep pupils (Reception to Year 2) kicked off the afternoon with a series of joyful fun runs around the school grounds, cheered on by proud parents and staff. Each year group took their turn to cross the finish line in great style, showing plenty of energy and enthusiasm along the way.
Next up, it was the turn of our Upper Prep pupils to take on the House Cross Country course, competing in a friendly but fiercely contested event. Year 3 and 4 tackled a 1.6km course, while Years 5 and 6 took on the full 2km route, all contributing valuable points towards their House totals. A celebratory presentation followed the races, recognising the determination and team spirit shown by all our young runners.
Mr Stuart Richardson, Head of Prep School PE and Games, said:
“It was wonderful to see every pupil taking part with such energy and enthusiasm. Events like these are all about building confidence, camaraderie and a love of physical activity – and our pupils certainly rose to the occasion.”
Congratulations to Montague, who were crowned this year’s winning House!
Thank you to all the families who came along to support and to our staff for helping make the afternoon such a success.
