Kimbolton School wins national AMCIS IMPACT Award for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

Kimbolton School is proud to announce that it has won the 2026 AMCIS IMPACT Award for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, recognising the school’s commitment to creating a culture where every pupil feels seen, valued and empowered to belong.

The award was presented at the AMCIS Annual Conference Gala Dinner on Monday 11 May 2026, with Mrs Allison Farrer, Marketing & Admissions Manager, collecting the award on behalf of the school.

Organised by AMCIS (Admissions, Marketing & Communications in Independent Schools), the national IMPACT Awards celebrate excellence and innovation across the independent school sector. Kimbolton School had previously been shortlisted in recognition of its “Standing Firm in Power and Pride” initiative, which used Black History Month as a catalyst to strengthen inclusive culture and amplify pupil voice across the school community.

The initiative brought together pupil-led debates, creative projects, assemblies, exhibitions and curriculum activities designed to encourage meaningful conversations around identity, heritage and representation. Importantly, the programme was developed not as a standalone event, but as part of a wider, long-term commitment to embedding inclusion throughout school life.

Kate Latham, Assistant Head – Academic and EDI Lead at Kimbolton School, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to receive this national recognition. What makes this achievement especially meaningful is that the initiative was shaped and driven by our pupils, whose courage, creativity and willingness to share their perspectives inspired genuine reflection and conversation across our community.

At Kimbolton, we want inclusion to be something that is lived and experienced every day, and this award is a wonderful celebration of that shared commitment.”

Mrs Allison Farrer added:

“It was a privilege to represent Kimbolton School at the AMCIS Awards ceremony and accept this award on behalf of our whole community. This recognition reflects the dedication of staff and pupils alike in ensuring Kimbolton continues to be a welcoming, inclusive and forward-thinking environment for all.”

The award marks another significant national achievement for Kimbolton School and reinforces its ongoing commitment to fostering kindness, respect and belonging at the heart of school life.
