Calling all dads with a love of books (or just looking for something new to try): a new Dads’ Book Club is kicking off, and you’re invited to join in!
The club aims to create a relaxed space for dads to meet, connect, and discuss great reads over a drink. The first meeting will be on Thursday, 1 May, at The New Sun Inn pub at 7.15pm. The book up for discussion? Slow Horses by Mick Herron—a sharp and thrilling tale from the world of espionage that’s sure to provide plenty of talking points.
But there’s more to this than just the enjoyment of a good story. Evidence suggests that children are more likely to pick up reading as a habit if they see their dads reading. By joining the club, you’re not only enriching yourself but also setting an inspiring example for your children.
Whether you’re a keen reader or simply intrigued, this is a great opportunity to get involved in something different. Adam Jessup a father and our brilliant Head of Maths will be leading discussion. So, pick up the book, note the date, and head to The New Sun Inn to see what it’s all about.
