Pupil Henry D. appears on BBC Breakfast to promote 30 Days Wild

Henry D. in Year 8 (Second Form) made a live appearance on BBC Breakfast this week, helping the Wildlife Trusts promote their annual 30 Days Wild challenge.

The nationwide initiative encourages children, families, adults and schools to connect with nature by doing something wild every day throughout June. This year’s campaign focuses on the theme “Rewild Your Inner Child”, inspiring people of all ages to rediscover the joy, curiosity and adventure that nature can bring.

Henry is a young wildlife ambassador and was invited by the Wildlife Trusts to take part in the live broadcast alongside Abi who is Head of Learning and Engagement at the London Wildlife Trust. Together, they joined the presenters on the famous BBC Breakfast sofa to discuss the challenge and encourage viewers to get involved.

During the interview, Henry shared his enthusiasm for spending time outdoors and highlighted the importance of engaging with nature, whether you spend a whole hour outside or just five minutes.

The appearance provided a fantastic opportunity to support a national environmental campaign and inspire others to embrace the benefits of connecting with the natural world.

We are delighted to see Henry representing both the school and young people across the country in promoting such a positive and important initiative.
