Taylor L. and her dog Asher recently represented Team England at the World Agility Open (WAO) in the Netherlands.
Competing against some of the world’s best agility handlers, Taylor and Asher delivered a series of confident performances on challenging international courses. In the Pentathlon competition, they achieved two impressive clear rounds in Pentathlon Jumping 2 and Agility 2, finishing 25th and 20th respectively. These results secured them an overall placing of 38th in their height category from a field of 90 competitors representing 43 countries.
This was a fantastic achievement and another valuable step in building Taylor and Asher’s international experience.

Taylor also competed at the Junior Open Agility World Championships in July. It was a very successful week, with Taylor and her team winning the overall team Gold and becoming Small Team World Champions.
The team delivered an exceptional performance, producing four clear rounds in the jumping round to secure first place, setting them up to run last in the agility round. They followed this with three more fantastic clear rounds in agility to finish second in that round, with their combined results securing the overall gold medal.
Taylor and her dog, Asher, ran the crucial anchor leg in both rounds, knowing that only a clear round in the agility final would be enough to secure the championship title. They rose to the challenge with a composed and confident performance under pressure.
In the individual competition, Taylor and Asher produced another brilliant jumping round to finish third. Unfortunately, an elimination in the agility meant they narrowly missed out on an overall individual medal. Despite this disappointment, Taylor is delighted with their performance and it has given her renewed determination and confidence to fight for a place in the adult team next year.
