Equestrian success at County level

Pupils from our equestrian team have achieved outstanding success at the recent county competition held at Bury Farm, bringing home multiple titles and securing places at national level.

Our riders were crowned County Team Champions in Preliminary Dressage at Bury Farm, with an excellent team performance from Honor C., Flora K. and Tilly R.

In addition, we celebrated another major team victory as County Team Champions in the Open Mixed category (featuring two Preliminary and two Novice tests). This winning team consisted of Flora K., Tilly R., Emmy B. and Lois Z.

Individually, the competition proved just as successful. Tilly, Flora and Emmy were all named Individual County Champions in their respective classes, highlighting the depth of talent across the team.

As a result of their impressive performances, the riders have qualified to represent the county at the National Dressage Championships at Hickstead at the end of May — a fantastic achievement and an exciting opportunity to compete on a national stage.

The team also impressed in the Combined Training competition (which combines dressage and showjumping scores). Notable results included:

  • Flora Kane achieving an excellent 2nd place at 80cm
  • Tilly Rearden placing 4th at 90cm
  • Tilly also securing 3rd place at 1m
  • Emmy Beers finishing 4th at 1m

These strong performances have earned all riders qualifications for the National Combined Training Championships in the autumn.

Congratulations to all involved on an incredible set of results — we look forward to following their continued success at national level.
