Pupils from Kimbolton enjoyed great success at this year’s ASHYAC (Huntingdonshire Young Arts Competition), which was held at St Ivo School. The annual competition celebrates the creativity and artistic talent of young people from schools across Huntingdonshire, with entries spanning a wide range of media including drawing, printmaking, photography and mixed media.
10 pieces of artwork created by Kimbolton pupils were entered into the competition, showcasing a range of styles, techniques and artistic skill. We were delighted with the results, with our pupils achieving an impressive six winners and two highly commended. This is a wonderful achievement that reflects the creativity, skill and dedication shown by the pupils.
The following pupils were recognised for their outstanding work:
- Harriett S. – Winner of the KS3 Drawing Prize
- Freddie L. – Winner of the KS3 Photography Prize (and Highly Commended)
- Chennai M. – Highly Commended for a print in the KS4 Art Prize

Competitions such as ASHYAC provide a wonderful opportunity for young artists to share their work with a wider audience and to celebrate the importance of the arts within education. Congratulations to all pupils who took part and represented the school so well.
