Year 4 residential trip 2025

Our Year 4 pupils recently enjoyed an action-packed residential trip to the PGL centre in Lincolnshire, embracing every challenge with enthusiasm and plenty of laughter.

The excitement began the moment we arrived, with pupils diving straight into activities. They tested their courage and agility on the climbing wall and explored the grounds on a nature trail—one group even managed to catch several large spiders, much to the teachers’ surprise! After a busy afternoon, everyone tucked into a well-deserved dinner of fish fingers and wedges before gathering around the campfire for songs and toasted marshmallows. It was the perfect end to a fun-filled first day.

The following morning, after a very early start, the pupils were ready for more adventure. From whizzing down the zipline and braving the high ropes to racing on microscooters and channelling their inner Robin Hood at the archery centre, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We even celebrated a birthday with cake and a cheerful singalong after lunch. Later that evening, macaroni cheese proved to be a firm favourite—many declared it the best they’d ever tasted! Dinner was followed by a rich chocolate brownie, giving everyone an extra energy boost for the evening’s hilarious water balloon challenge involving packaging materials and a towering abseiling wall.

The final morning dawned bright and sunny, setting the scene for more outdoor fun. Pupils embraced the sensory trail and soared on the giant swing before enjoying a final hearty meal and making their way back to school.

Throughout the trip, our Year 4 pupils demonstrated fantastic resilience, kindness, and teamwork, making us incredibly proud. They were a credit to the school, embracing every challenge with enthusiasm and supporting one another every step of the way.

A huge thank you to our staff for making this unforgettable experience possible.
