Two of our talented athletes have been selected to compete at the prestigious English Schools Athletics Championships, which will take place in Birmingham on 10–11 July.
The English Schools Championships represent the highest level of school athletics competition in the country and earning a place is a remarkable achievement. Both pupils have demonstrated outstanding commitment, determination and talent throughout the season.
Kitty K. has secured selection for the Junior Girls’ 300m event. Kitty’s summer of athletics success continues, as she will also compete at the Prep Schools National Championships on 1 July in both the 200m and 800m events.
Josh S. has been selected for the Junior Boys’ 800m. Josh produced an excellent performance at the Anglian Schools Athletics Championships, winning the event to become the Anglian Schools Junior Boys’ 800m Champion. In doing so, he achieved a personal best time of 2:07 and recorded the fastest time by a Cambridgeshire runner this season.
These achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication shown by both athletes, and we are incredibly proud of their success. We wish Kitty and Josh the very best as they prepare to represent their schools and counties on the national stage in Birmingham.
