Down in the garden with our Pre-School

Coming back after half term, we have begun our exciting new topic, “Down in the Garden.” The children are enjoying exploring stories, plants, mini-beasts and the wonderful changes that happen during spring. We have also been making the most of the lovely sunshine, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning and play.

So far, we have been learning about the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children have planted their own beans and have loved using their imaginations to build the giant’s castle. We have also started exploring The Very Hungry Caterpillar, where we are learning about the life cycle of a caterpillar and how it changes and grows.

It has been a fantastic start to the topic, and we are looking forward to discovering even more about life in the garden in the weeks ahead.
