Kimbolton School is delighted to announce plans for a magnificent new fitness suite in the Roger Peel Sports Centre, which will be created over the summer holiday 2026 and officially open in September.
Designed to enhance the School’s strength and conditioning provision, the new facility will provide pupils with access to state-of-the-art fitness equipment and training spaces. Like the swimming pool, the fitness suite will primarily be used by pupils during the school day, while also being available to staff, parents and members of the local community throughout the year.
The project involves a comprehensive redesign of the spaces surrounding the main sports hall. A dedicated weights room will be created on the ground floor, complemented by a modern aerobic fitness room on the first floor. Together, these facilities will provide an outstanding environment for fitness training, athletic development and wellbeing.
The project has already received significant support from the Kimbolton community. Old Kimboltonians have generously donated £88,000 towards the development, while the Kimbolton School Parents’ Association (KSPA) has pledged funding for a striking glass wall that will enclose the cardiovascular training area on the upper floor.

Further fundraising efforts will continue between now and the official opening, helping to ensure the facility delivers the very best experience for pupils and community users alike.
