Year 6 Christmas Spectacular brings festive cheer to the Prep School

The Prep School came together in festive spirit on Friday, 12 December, as Year 6 pupils hosted their much-anticipated Christmas Spectacular on the final day of term.

As part of their innovation project, Year 6 pupils spent recent weeks designing and creating a wide range of thoughtful gifts and stocking fillers. Families were warmly invited to attend the event, browse the stalls and support the pupils’ creativity and enterprise.

Alongside the pupils’ products, the afternoon included a raffle, a cake stall and festive refreshments for families to enjoy. All profits raised were shared between the Charity Committee and reinvested back into the school community, ensuring the pupils’ hard work had a meaningful and lasting impact.

The event also showcased the musical talents of Year 6, with performances from individual musicians, as well as short Christmas songs from each Prep School house. This year marked a particularly special moment, as Lower Prep pupils joined their houses to perform for the very first time.

Claire Petrie, Head of Kimbolton Prep, said

“The Christmas Spectacular was a wonderful example of our pupils’ creativity, teamwork and confidence. Year 6 showed real initiative through their innovation project and it was lovely to see them bringing the whole Prep School together in such a joyful, festive way. Welcoming our Lower Prep pupils into the house performances for the first time made the occasion even more special.”

The Christmas Spectacular provided a warm and lively end to term, celebrating enterprise, music and the strong sense of community across the Prep School.
