Successful careers fair inspires the next generation

Kimbolton careers fair

Our careers fair last week proved to be a fantastic event for our school community, made possible by the support and enthusiasm of the professionals and university representatives who joined us. The way exhibitors engaged with our pupils and parents made the event truly memorable and we are extremely grateful for the time, energy, and expertise they brought to the day.

With 60 exhibitors in attendance, pupils had the opportunity to speak directly with professionals about their job roles, as well as learn about university pathways and degree apprenticeship opportunities. The wide range of industries represented created a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

The event featured plenty of interactive activities and a programme of 12 talks, allowing pupils to gain deeper insights into different sectors. These sessions gave them the chance to explore a variety of professions, ask questions, and learn more about the skills and pathways needed to access these industries. Alongside employers, a number of universities and degree apprenticeship providers were also present to offer guidance on the many routes available after school.

One of the highlights of the event was the enthusiasm shown by our younger pupils. They were far more engaged than we had imagined, showing genuine curiosity and excitement as they spoke with exhibitors and learned about the many possibilities ahead of them. We have also had some very positive feedback from exhibitors who attended:

“Thank you for allowing us to be part of your careers fair! We had some very positive interactions with pupils, parents, staff and other Exhibitors. We hope you found it to be a success for all involved. “

Their contribution helped make the fair an inspiring occasion that will have a lasting impact on our pupils as they begin to think about their future pathways.
