The recent session on Bitcoin, stocks and shares was both highly informative and genuinely engaging. Pupils showed real enthusiasm as they explored what Bitcoin is, how it works, and why understanding both its opportunities and its risks matters so much in today’s financial world.

A particular highlight was Alex L. in Year 11, who shared an insightful overview of his research into stocks and shares. He explained clearly how they operate, how to follow their performance, and what’s involved in buying and selling them. He also spoke with confidence about developing his own investment fund business, showing impressive initiative and vision. By reflecting on the skills he has been building, many of which have been shaped through his experiences in school – he offered a wonderful example of entrepreneurial talent and ambition. It was inspiring to see so many of our learning DNA qualities shining through.

The event successfully provided clear, accessible information, rather than advice about key financial concepts and left pupils motivated, curious and eager to learn more.
