Kimbolton pupils proudly took part in this year’s Kimbolton and Stonely Scarecrow Festival, held from 20–28 September.
Ingrams forms and our boarding houses – Kim House (boys) and White House (girls) – all created their own scarecrows during the week, with the finished characters displayed by the Castle Astro for the festival. Each scarecrow had its own name and unique design, competing not only against each other but also alongside entries from across the village.
Funds from the festival are supporting two charities with links to Old Kimboltonians: the Rural Communities Mental Health Foundation, which helps those living in isolated areas, and YPMH (Young People’s Mental Health), which works to improve young people’s mental health.
We are delighted that our girls’ boarding house entry, Scaregru and the Minions, was awarded ‘Funniest Scarecrow’ in the village!
This was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to showcase their imagination while strengthening ties with the village community.
