Tilly R. proudly represented Kimbolton School at the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Eventing Championships, held at Moreton Russell Equestrian Centre in Dorset. Having qualified two ponies, Bob and Toby, at the North Lincolnshire event back in May, Tilly competed over three days of challenging equestrian disciplines.
The event opened with dressage, where Bob showed plenty of energy, while Toby impressed the judges with a composed and obedient performance. The second day tested speed and endurance, with Tilly and her ponies navigating roads, tracks, a steeplechase, and a vet check before tackling a cross-country course of 22 fences. Bob had a flawless round with no penalties, though Toby was penalised for going slightly too fast on the cross-country section.
On the final day, following a veterinary inspection, Tilly took part in the showjumping phase, competing in reverse order. She achieved an impressive 9th place on Bob and 11th on Toby.
Congratulations to Tilly on her impressive performance in this prestigious event!
