Kimbolton pupil performs with the English Schools’ Orchestra at Cadogan Hall

Kimbolton pupil Georgina A. spent part of the half term in remarkable company after successfully auditioning for the English Schools’ Orchestra (ESO) – believed to be the first time a Kimbolton pupil has taken part.

Georgina joined talented young musicians from across the country for four intensive days of rehearsals at Woldingham School. The course concluded with a captivating concert at London’s Cadogan Hall.

Georgina reflected on the experience:

“I really enjoyed playing with so many talented musicians from across the country — it was inspiring to be part of an orchestra of such a high standard and to learn from their experience and musicianship. Performing Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 was one of my favourite moments and something I’ll never forget.”

Georgina’s achievement highlights both her musical ability and her commitment to her craft. The school is pleased to recognise this milestone and looks forward to seeing her continue to flourish in her music.
