Kimbolton Prep Pupils create ‘Purple Christmas’ decorations for community festival

Pupils from Kimbolton Prep School spent recent weeks preparing for the Christmas Tree Festival at St Andrew’s Church in Kimbolton. Members of the Prep School Charities Committee and School Council crafted handmade Christmas decorations to contribute to the much-loved community event.

Using the school colours as their inspiration, the pupils created paper stars to decorate a tree they named ‘I’m Dreaming of a Purple Christmas’. Their display brought a touch of Kimbolton spirit to the festival, which featured trees and contributions from organisations across the local area.

Ms. Sophie Bettison, Charities Lead at Kimbolton Prep, said:

“It was lovely to see the children come together to make something for the community. They took such care with their decorations and were excited to share a little Kimbolton colour and creativity with everyone visiting the festival.”

The Christmas Tree Festival ran over last weekend, opening on Saturday, 29 November until Monday, 1 December.

Kimbolton Prep School was pleased to support a community tradition that brings people together as the festive season begins.
