Equestrian team achieves impressive success in first half of term

The Kimbolton School Equestrian team has enjoyed a triumphant first half of the term, showcasing their skills and dedication at various prestigious events.

Swalcliffe ODE Success

During the last weekend of April, Flora K., Tilly R., and Emmy B. represented the school at the One-Day Event (ODE) in Swalcliffe. The team performed admirably, with Tilly securing placements on two ponies and Emmy winning her section. Remarkably, all three horses qualified for the Schools Equestrian Games Finals at Dauntsey School in September.

North Lincolnshire NSEA One Day Event

The following weekend saw Tilly R. joined by Lois Z. and Hattie A. at the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) One Day Event in North Lincolnshire. Tilly continued her impressive form, finishing 2nd and 3rd in her section, and earning a spot in the finals in Dorset in late August.

County Champions at Hickstead

In the last weekend of May, Kimbolton proudly represented Cambridgeshire as County Champions in both dressage and show jumping at the Finals held at the All England Jumping Course in Hickstead. The team camped out for three nights, creating lasting memories and achieving notable results. Hattie, Tilly, and Olivia WB each jumped at least one clear round, with the team securing a 6th place finish nationally in dressage. Additionally, Olivia achieved an impressive 4th place in the pop-up dressage series final.

Special thanks go to Miss Morrell for her unwavering support throughout these events. The team’s successes are a testament to their hard work, skill, and dedication, and we look forward to their continued achievements in the upcoming finals.

Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding accomplishments!
