Vet Assistant brings four-legged friend to Pre-School

Pupils in Kimbolton Pre-School enjoyed a special furry visitor, Rocket the Norfolk Terrier. Vet assistant Josie brought her dog into Pre-School to support the children’s learning about caring for animals. The children loved stroking Rocket and playing with him in the garden, where he even showed off a few tricks. In the Pre-School home corner, which had been transformed into a play vet surgery, some children learnt how vets check dogs and practised using toy injections and stethoscopes. The children also had the opportunity to take Rocket for a short walk around the school grounds, sharing turns holding his lead alongside Josie. To round off the visit, they each took turns giving Rocket a treat from their hands.
