It was a day full of numbers as Kimbolton Prep took part time NSPCC Number Day!
We had a brilliant time celebrating Number Day across the Prep school, with both staff and pupils fully embracing the occasion by dressing up as digits. The creativity on display was wonderful, and it truly set the tone for a fun-filled, maths-focused day.
We were delighted to welcome The Problem Solving Company to the Prep for the day. They led a range of exciting and engaging activities for children from Pre-School through to Year 3. The sessions were packed with hands-on challenges that encouraged teamwork, resilience, and creative thinking.

Year 5 made excellent use of our brand-new orienteering signs during their maths lessons. Pupils navigated their way around while tackling tricky questions about factors, combining physical activity with mathematical problem-solving in a fun and memorable way.
Classes from Pre-School to Year 2 had been busy practising and preparing a number song especially for the day, which they then enthusiastically performed to their teachers.
A highlight of the day was the class assembly led by 3V, who confidently explained the importance of Number Day and the valuable work of the NSPCC. During the assembly, we also announced the winners of our ‘Design a Maths T-Shirt’ competition – congratulations to all who took part for their fantastic designs!
The Upper Prep pupils enthusiastically participated in the NSPCC Rocks Number Day competition, rounding off a truly exciting and meaningful day of maths, creativity, and charitable awareness.
Well done to everyone who helped make Number Day such a success!
