Flora E. succeeds at Bedfordshire Festival

Year 10 (Fourth Form) pupil Flora E. recently performed at the Bedfordshire Festival of Music, Speech and Drama, which is one of the oldest, largest and most celebrated festivals in the UK. The event welcomed over 3,000 musicians and actors of all ages and abilities, all made possible by an army of around 100 volunteers.

Flora had a very successful week, winning first place for her Shakespeare solo (Year 8-10), along with a trophy. She also achieved second place in her scene from Musical Theatre (Year 9-10), dramatic solo (Year 9-10), and verse speaking solo (Year 10-11).

Flora is also a pupil at Redford School of Speech and Drama and performed a piece with Redford Seniors. The group won awards for Most Outstanding Senior Speech and Drama Performance and Most Outstanding Overall Drama Performance of the Festival.
