On Friday 24th January, the 4th form and pupils from Ingrams who are performing in Macbeth for a Shakespeare festival, were lucky enough to experience a great performance of the play by the awesome Quantum Theatre Company. 

Macbeth was performed by only 4 actors who played all of the characters and once they had finished, we could ask them questions, to help us with our understanding of the characters’ intentions. The company brought their own equipment, including real swords (!) so all we had to do was turn the light off and enjoy the performance in front of us. 

It has definitely given us a deeper understanding of the plot, which is very beneficial for our coursework that is 20% of our English Literature GCSE. We would like to thank the English staff who took the time to organise this and given us the opportunity to see the play in performance.
