We are delighted that our U13 and U15 girls’ cricket teams have made it through. An exciting format, played inside with 8-a-side and eight overs per innings, the competition is open to all state and independent schools and attracts over 1,700 entries each year.
The competition begins at County level and the 40 County winners for both age groups will go on to play in one of 5 regional finals after Easter. After this, the 5 winners from each age group will compete at the National Finals hosted at Lord’s in May.
Interestingly, this popular competition has been the starting point for many of our past and current England Womens’ cricketers, Heather Knight, Anya Shrubsole, Sarah Taylor and Issy Wong to name but a few – what great inspiration.
